The Time is Ripe to Organize, Organize, Organize!
In Tennessee and the southern District 9 states, right to work poses challenges to collective bargaining and organizing. But as our members show, right to work does not mean we can’t have a strong union. In fact, Mable McIntosh and all our USW members in right to work states have proven that some of our strongest locals can be built when all workers stand together and support each other.
International guests addressed convention delegates today to talk about our various joint efforts we are actively engaged in to advance global union activism, including common political strategies that are best for the working class; joint collective bargaining efforts with common employers in our industries; and international solidarity projects to defend the rights of trade unionists across the globe.
